Butterflyseat.jpg (5881 bytes)

Butterfly Seat (optional)

For riders who require more support or prefer a more conventional looking seat. You may choose either the standard Easy Seat or the optional Butterfly Seat when ordering the Step 'n Go. To order the butterfly seat in addition or separately, please see price list.

whoabar.jpg (7366 bytes)

Whoa Bar

Walk alongside the rider to offer “behind the scenes” assistance when required for balance, stopping or climbing small inclines. Available in either right (standard) or left hand models. Also used to mount an optional 2nd parking brake (as shown) for operation by companion.

pushbrake.jpg (8213 bytes)

Padded Push Brake

Designed for riders who cannot squeeze a conventional brake lever. Can be mounted on either the right or left (standard) side of the handlebars. Only one of many braking adaptations.

paddle brake.jpg (9465 bytes)

Paddle Brake (Custom)

Designed for a young boy with spastic quadriplegia, who required a large target to activate the brake. Engages the brake by pushing anywhere on the paddle.

footstraps.jpg (14861 bytes)

Footstraps

Accommodate any size foot, from child to adult.  2” (50mm) polypro strap with sewn on Velcro loop attaches to industrial grade Velcro hook on the bottom and inside of the foot pad. Just place and press - no buckles to adjust!

footpad ext.jpg (12358 bytes)

Footpad Extensions (Custom)

The footpad extensions were created for a young girl with AMC who wore a full set of leg braces. This set the width of her stance at 20” (50.8 cm) outside to outside. A large children’s hospital found the foot pad extensions to be very useful for allowing children wearing an orthopedic appliance to stand more securely on the footpads, as well as to facilitate transferring and mounting the Step 'n Go. The footpad extensions allow the use of footstraps.  Requires hand tools for installation.

dorsiflexion wedge.jpg (9046 bytes)

Dorsiflexion Wedge (Custom)

Provides additional dorsiflexion at the bottom of the downward stroke and helps to keep the body weight centered on the heel for maximum power. Velcro loop on bottom engages with the non-slip footpad surface. Use in conjunction with footstraps. Available individually or in pairs.

crutch holder.jpg (13037 bytes)

Vertical Crutcholder

Easily snaps onto the handlebars. Vinyl coated spring clips hold canes or crutches securely on either side of the steering column. Does not interfere with the steering or controls.

backsupport.jpg (5450 bytes)

Back Support

The Step 'n Go is designed to be ridden in a standing position; however, some riders may require a bit of trunk support (proximal stabilization) or a reference point to maintain balance. The back support is supplied with two straps and adjusts both vertically and horizontally. Suitable for riders up to 120 lbs.(55 kg) and 5’(1.5 m) height.

fwdseatpost.jpg (5974 bytes)

Forward Seat Post (Adjustable)

Lets you enjoy total adjustability of the seat position for use in a clinical setting with multiple riders or to accommodate one rider as they grow. The seat, which is more of a “bum rest”, adjusts vertically and horizontally and can be suspended on top of the cover for smaller riders. Suitable for riders up to 120 lbs.(55 kg) and 5’(1.5 m) height.

fwdseat.jpg (4771 bytes)

Forward Seat (Fixed Position)

Ideal if you want to move the seat forward for a rider 5’(1.5 m) or taller. Provides additional support in a more upright riding position.

Combination Back Support & Seat

Created as a special request for a fast growing boy with CP who required additional trunk stabilization. The back support will adjust laterally on the seat post to provide the appropriate distance between the seat and the back support. The system will adjust both vertically and horizontally. Suitable for riders up to 120 lbs. (55 kg) and 5’(1.5 m) height.
